Sister Brands

Wait, you do what now?

If you found me through The Latchkey Readers, this is the part that's most clearly mine — the book club, the Substack, the people who actually finished it. It's free. It will stay free.

But there are two other things I run, and people ask, so. Here they are.

Same person behind all three. Different jobs.

Early & Away

The travel one.

If The Latchkey Readers ever sends you down a rabbit hole that ends with "okay but how do I actually go there" — that's what Early & Away is for.

It's my literary travel advisory. Private trips for readers, writers, and book clubs who want to actually stand in the place where the story happened. Your dates, your destinations, your people — I do the rest.

The book got there first. Early & Away is how you catch up.

The Endpaper Society

The retreat one.

This is the newest piece, and it's deliberately not Gen X — it's for the curated version of literary travel, where you don't put together your own group, you just join one.

Small cohort of women, two trips a year, the same book read together for months beforehand. The first four are on the board: Yorkshire, the QM2 Literary Festival at Sea, the Royal Clipper through the Windwards, and a long-light trip to the West of Ireland.

If "trip with strangers who will not be strangers by the time you get home" is your version of a good idea — it's a door worth checking.

Which One's Yours

Honestly, you probably already know.

But for the record:

They flow into each other. TLR readers sometimes book Society retreats. Society alumna sometimes book private Early & Away trips the year after. The doors aren't exclusive — they're just doing different jobs.

Or — and this is the most likely scenario — you just want the book club.

Which is, you know, the entire reason this site exists.
